Position Summary:

We currently have an opening for a Maintenance Planner based out of our location in Richmond, BC. Maintenance Planner will work with the Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager and/or Operations Manager to fully plan work orders, establish maintenance schedules for Maintenance Projects and to ensure the inventory and work order system are running in a timely and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be instrumental in improving Maintenance Technician efficiency by properly preparing work order for execution and ensuring that maintenance activity is documented in valid work orders to track equipment performance. This role reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Job responsibilities for this position:

  • Plan and purchase repair materials and spare parts inventory.
  • Work in conjunction with purchasing with specific regard to parts orders for work order planning.
  • Ensure all parts and repair materials are purchased in a cost-effective manner within current company purchasing policies.
  • Adopt and carry out a verifiable and recordable work order process in 4Site (CMMS) for all maintenance duties.
  • Coordinate and supervise work of outside contractors as required.
  • Ensure the preventative maintenance program is being followed.
  • Ensure all maintenance duties are performed in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements for the position:

  • Five years of industry experience in production planning or coordination is an asset.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic parts used in industrial machinery.
  • Ability to estimate parts lifetime and scheduling preventative maintenance for replacing those parts before failing.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.

 

 Work Conditions:

  • Permanent Full-time position (40 hours per week, Mon-Fri).
  • Exposure to noise and temperature varied environment when in the production area.
  • Hours may differ as operational needs dictate.
  • Light lifting.
  • Wearing of company provided Personal Protective Equipment is required as applicable.

Pay: $64,000.00-$106,000.00 per year depends on experience and/or education.
