Safety

At Crown Packaging we believe that no phase of our operation or administration is of greater importance than the prevention of occupational injury and illness. We are committed to providing a safe and healthful working environment for all employees. Occupational health and safety is a shared responsibility and is accomplished through the cooperative efforts of all our managers, supervisors, and employees.

Our Managers have the continuing responsibility of ensuring all objectives of the safety program are monitored, achieved, and maintained. Our Supervisors ensure all employees under their direction receive proper training and instruction and that all work is performed safely. All employees, at every level , are expected to fully accept responsibility for their own safety, and for the safety of those with whom they work.

It is the Company policy to maintain safe and healthy working conditions at all times and to integrate safety and health measures into each job task so that safety, health and job performance become inseparable.

We maintain a vigorous safety and injury prevention program and will allocate the necessary resources to assure a safe and healthful work place. We promote the awareness of occupational health and safety issues, provide appropriate and adequate training of all employees to ensure that they are competent to carry out their tasks safely, and report and correct safety and health concerns and issues. We comply with all WorkSafeBC regulations and Occupational Health & Safety standards and will treat these basic safety and health legislations as a minimum standard rather than maximum.

We are proud to have been featured in recent WorkSafeBC videos.

We are a company that not only talks about safety but most importantly demonstrates it through our actions. The health and safety of our employees is a core value. Our corporate goal is an injury free workplace.
